Postoperative Shoe/ Plaster Protection

Post-operative shoe made from breathable material and with an open toe construction it is easy to put in. Rigid reinforcement in the heel keeps the foot in the proper position, provides superior control of forefoot motion to ensure post-operative healing remains undisturbed.  The 2 hoop and loop fastening system allows an adaptation of the feet with deformations or postsurgical bandages. Hoop and loop straps make opening easily and allow a comfortable fitting. It can be adapted for both right and left feet.

The non-slip outsole ensures stable adhesion to the base. The shoe has an additional TOE CUP element, which can be used to create a close shoe. The toe cup protects the toes. Depending on the user the shoe can have an open or closed front.

Indications (target patient group)

Post-surgery in the area of the foot and toes, as plaster protection, for foot swellings when standard shoe use is impossible for the patient.

Contraindications:

Special attention should be paid when using the product by patients with sensual disorders in the foot area.

Intended user: The medical device is intended for laypersons (non-professional users).

Usage: Stick a wide piece of sticky surface to the forefoot of the shoe so that the hoop and loop fastening side is on top. It is not suitable for multiple sticking and unsticking. Adhered to the front of the shoe, it should not be detached. Attach the toe with a hoop and loop fastening to the already glued wide element. Put your foot in the shoe and close the hoop and loop fastening.

Maintenance: Hand wash in cold water, using mild soap, do not bleach.

Disposal of the medical device: The device must be disposed of following the applicable local environmental regulations.

Warnings:

Do not use the device if it has been damaged or deformed. 

Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.

Do not use a device of the wrong size or in a way for which it is not intended. If you experience any problems related to using the product, please contact your doctor.­  Failure to observe proper personal hygiene and inappropriate cleaning detergents can cause abrasions or other ailments associated with increased sweating and bacterial growth.

NOTE: Any serious incident in connection with the device must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State where the user and/or patient is based.­­
